The first day snuck up on us.  Eight weeks of summer wasn’t long enough.  We all could have used one or two more weeks of summer, especially mom.

Avery and Emerson did great waking up to their alarm and making their own breakfast.  Mom was on the struggle bus.  Bus rolled up at 6:42, a few minutes late!

Harper too woke up to her alarm, showered, and was excited to be a 6^th grader.  Two sets of pictures as the planned first day of school outfit could have easily turned into a wardrobe malfunction. 

The annual bus stop breakfast didn’t disappoint.  Pretty sure the ratio of food to what is actually eaten is 10:1.  Harper confidently rocked the last seat of the bus.

Afternoon Update:  Avery was quite talkative and had a good day.  Emerson is already counting down the days until summer.  Harper had a great day and is excited about the flexibility seating including the yoga balls.  Mom got dressed, did her hair, and is feeling good about day two!
