Forty-seven years! That’s how long it took me to come up with my favorite Halloween costume. If I was alive in the 60’s this would have totally been my vibe!

Tova thew an epic adult only neighborhood party. I knew she would go above and beyond, but even so she exceeded my expectations from the massive sweet to savory food spread and the elaborate themed decorations and libations.

Everyone came dressed to impress!

I imagine this party will be an annual tradition.
Halloween was the day after the adult party. Not only did it fall on a Saturday, but also it was the night we set our clocks back and hour. The weather was perfect all day and the evening was crisp but not cold.
The neighborhood kids came out in full force. The 6:00 neighborhood picture on Adams Hill meant that the trick or treating at our house occurred mostly early in the night.

Harper had two friends come over, Leelya and Ellis, and they were Piglet, Tiger, and Winnie the Pooh.

Emerson and Cora decided to watch scary movies together instead of trick-or-treating, but they did walk around the neighborhood some filling their pockets as they walked by the candy that neighbors left at the end of driveways.

Avery was in demand with the littles and she spent some time walking around with Caroline before doing a quick costume change from a professional dancer to a Kit Kat.

With no school the next day, an extra hour of sleep promised, and perfect weather, there was no rush to come home.

Halloween 2026 delivered on all accounts.
