Two new schools. Two new wake-up times;
A flip-flop of schedules;
Elementary school, the past;
New beginnings;
One in middle-school and two in high-school.
Harper now has the earliest wake-up call with a bus stop time of 6:39 am.
Avery and Emerson gain 45 minutes in the morning with a 7:20 a.m. bus stop time.
When they arrived home, I asked them each their thoughts on the day. Harper described the day as “very boring”; Emerson “boring”; and Avery “I don’t know”.
Hoping those words are not a portent of how the upcoming school year is going to go. With implacable determination to keep their comments succinct, I’m hoping their comments are typical terse comments to Mom and secretly they are bluffing with their real thoughts and soon will be engrossed in the exhilaration of all middle school and high school have to offer.
