I\u2019ve been trying to think of something clever to start this blog, but the words escape me; I try to quell my mind of the reality of this year\u2019s graduation. Avery and Emerson finished 8th<\/sup>\u00a0grade and will be freshman at James Madison High School, the same high school I went to just a few years ago\u2026alright maybe more than a few but not more than a decade \ud83d\ude42 ! Harper finished 6th<\/sup>\u00a0grade and will be a 7th<\/sup>\u00a0grader at Thoreau.\u00a0\u00a0Our family\u2019s run of elementary school is officially over.\u00a0\u00a0Nine years at OES have come and gone.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As young toddlers, they watched the big yellow bus from the kitchen window thinking \u201cone day they would be on<\/strong> that bus\u201d.  They got their turn after several years and now next year when that big yellow bus comes by in the afternoon, if they aren\u2019t at their activities, they may just think \u201cone day, I was on<\/strong> that bus\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avery and Emerson are thrilled to not have the 6:30 am bus stop departure time.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harper will inherit it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am not too thrilled.  This is pretty typical of my days of driving the girls to the bus stop\u2026.rolling out of bed in my pajamas and getting straight into the driver\u2019s seat!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thoreau did an 8th<\/sup> grade party during the school day for the 8th<\/sup> graders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

OES had a formal graduation, where Harper received two awards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
