We made it though January sick free\u2026no COVID, no flu!\u00a0\u00a0Congrats were in order for only so long as it was February 7 before the first of patient zero\u2019s symptoms began.\u00a0\u00a0Avery was complaining of her stomach hurting, that turned into a bad cough and sore throat.\u00a0\u00a0A visit to the pediatrician the following day confirmed negative for strep so we chalked it up to a bad cold. Later that night Justin\u2019s cough, which had been bad, took a turn for the worse along with aches and pains. A visit the following morning to the doc confirmed the flu.\u00a0\u00a0When Emerson arrived home from school that afternoon not feeling well and her temperature quickly spiked, I knew she too had the flu.\u00a0\u00a0By Sunday, Avery still wasn\u2019t feeling good and I had a few aches and pains in addition to a worsening cough.\u00a0A quick trip\u00a0on Sunday\u00a0to Health Check, confirmed that Avery and Harper were not well enough to attend school and I\u00a0would have to cancel my\u00a0work trip\u00a0to Nashville on Tuesday. The swabs indicated positive for flu for Avery and me.\u00a0\u00a0February is apparently our new January!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
