<\/p>\nSAD.\u00a0 Sad\u2026with a capital S \u2013 A \u2013 D.\u00a0 That is how I feel now that my sister and little Noah left home for London.\u00a0 I feel fortunate to have seen him three different times already\u2026in late January when I went to visit in London for a week, in May when my sister came to visit for a few weeks and again this past month when my sister visited for a few weeks.\u00a0 Both prior times of seeing one another, I knew the next time I would see my sister AND it wasn\u2019t that far in the future.\u00a0 THIS time\u2026the next time is unknown.\u00a0 Realistically it could be a year.\u00a0 Babies grow so quickly and to think that I may not see Noah again for another year makes me incredibly sad.<\/p>\n
I do feel fortunate of the time we spent again with him these past few weeks.\u00a0 He is crawling, smiling, and starting to eat real food\u2026well some pureed anyway.\u00a0 He slept over twice and both times I was in heaven. \u00a0The second time he spent the night, we took him out to eat at Jacksons and walked around Reston Town Center for a bit. I\u2019m his auntie and while I wasn\u2019t pretending to be his mom, I love him as if he were my own.\u00a0 So out we went \u2013 my family of four kiddos.\u00a0 My heart was completely and utterly complete.\u00a0 Wish he lived a little bit\u2026ok, a lot closer\u2026so we could have these sorts of dates way more often.<\/p>\n
The truth is the girls absolutely adore their cousin too. We went swimming together, hung out at Papa and Grandma\u2019s, went to Meadowlark, went to Reston Farmers Market, celebrated Avery and Emerson\u2019s birthdays, and Avery and Emerson got to spend some \u00a0one-on-one time with their Auntie! \u00a0I enjoyed each and every moment of spending time with him from his soft baby skin and baby smell to his poopy diapers.<\/p>\n
I am going to miss ALL of it! <\/p>\n
