{"id":1521,"date":"2014-10-09T16:22:06","date_gmt":"2014-10-09T20:22:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/themaddlife.com\/?p=1521"},"modified":"2018-12-29T13:41:54","modified_gmt":"2018-12-29T18:41:54","slug":"ms-harper-paige","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/themaddlife.com\/?p=1521","title":{"rendered":"Not A Baby, But Always My Baby"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Ms. Harper Paige!\u00a0 While I still call you baby, the truth is, you\u2019re not a baby anymore!\u00a0 You have been walking for nearly 3 months now\u2026.and you are fast.\u00a0 You like to runaway especially if you know someone is trying to pick you up or get you to go in a certain direction.\u00a0 You run away and just laugh\u2026you think it is funny and the truth is\u2026it is funny!\u00a0 You like to play with your sisters\u2026.they are rough with you\u2026and you can surprisingly handle it\u2026you are almost as rough right back at them.\u00a0 You have developed a temper recently\u2026especially when you don\u2019t get something you want or if someone takes something away from you like a toy or something you shouldn\u2019t have been playing with to begin with.\u00a0 You have even recently started biting when you are mad or don\u2019t get your way! \u00a0The first few times it was kind of funny just because you are on the young side to be doing so, but after the first few times, it wasn\u2019t so funny anymore.\u00a0 The main victims are your sisters\u2026.they are really good though and they don\u2019t bite you back\u2026even Avery who still sometimes has her own biting problem\u2026the victim being Emerson. \u00a0You have been known to pull their hair as well, something else they are not a big fan of!\u00a0 You grunt a lot\u2026especially as a means of communication.\u00a0 You say mama and dada on occasion but not really with meaning.\u00a0 You understand pretty much everything though and I don\u2019t think you are in a rush to talk\u2026.I guess you are satisfied with your sisters doing all of the talking. You love playing with your sisters and they adore you\u2026they especially love to get up in your face and give you huge hugs\u2026.you\u2019re not the biggest fan of their hugs as their hugs resemble very tight squeezes.\u00a0 You have learned how to turn around and scoot down the stairs\u2026you have been climbing the stairs for well over a month now\u2026another task that you think is funny especially when you are supposed to be in the kitchen with mommy and you run away to escape up the stairs.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Your hair is turning curly as I was certain it would\u2026.your hair is much lighter than when you were born, but not as light as your sister\u2019s hair.\u00a0 You are a pretty good eater although you don\u2019t really like vegetables\u2026.and if there is a food you have been known to throw off your tray, its vegetables.\u00a0 You drink about 18 ounces of cow\u2019s milk a day now\u2026I nursed you until about 11 months and frozen breast milk got us through just after your 1<sup>st<\/sup> birthday.\u00a0 The switch to cow\u2019s milk was no big deal for you.\u00a0 Your sleeping is great\u2026.you go down about 8:30 and sleep for up to 12 hours\u2026..you stopped getting up at 6:00 a.m. after Mommy stopped nursing you. \u00a0You still nap twice a day for the most part\u2026.although sometimes your morning nap gets derailed by your sister\u2019s ballet class or their pre-school pick-up.\u00a0 You still suck your thumb; although, not as much as you used to. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And while you are no longer a baby, you are still a joy.\u00a0 While you go to sleep unassisted, one particular night earlier this week, you woke up crying about 45 minutes after I put you down.\u00a0 I\u2019m not sure what was wrong but it was so out of the ordinary for you that I went in your room and quietly picked you up.
